17-08-2018

The work of our lab was recently featured in a great video by the popular Youtube channel DidYouKnowGaming? The video addresses how games can have a positive effect on players, for instance by helping them cope with anxiety, depression, pain and attention deficits.

The video highlights how video games can provide players with a safe environment where they can work through negative emotions and how providing treatment in a video game format may encourage more individuals to seek out help. The narrator of the video Boogie2988 even shares how video games have personally helped him deal with anxiety and depression throughout his life.

Check out the video below and please share with us in the comment section how video games have contributed to your emotional and mental health!
