From now on, GEMH lab will have a specific theme for every month. This month's theme is anti-bullying. We are looking forward to share our activities and thoughts and to start a discussion with the community.
In July 2017 a very interesting article on Cyberbulling by Przybylski and Bowes (2017) was published in the Lancet, which piqued our interests. From September 18 till September 22 it is Week against Bullying in the Netherlands (Week tegen Pesten: https://www.weektegenpesten.com/), with a special focus on Cyberbullying. Bullying is a topic that is closely related to the work we do at the GEMH lab. That's why we've picked this topic for our first theme month.
This month we will post several blogs on this topic. One of them will be on the article by Przybylski and Bowes with a reflection on what (cyber)bullying means for the work we do at our lab and the games we develop. Another will be an interview with Meester Bart (https://twitter.com/meesterbart?lang=en) on his views on bullying at school and the role of cyberbullying. We will also discuss some games and online applications related to the topic.
If you are interested in this topic, please share your ideas with us via the website or our Twitter. We don't just want to share our ideas, we'd like to discuss them with you.
