The 1st official Society for Interdisciplinary Placebo Studies (SIPS) conference on placebo studies. The conference will be hosted by the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences of Leiden University. It will take place from April 2 to 4, 2017 in the beautiful historical city center of Leiden, the Netherlands. Leiden is located just half an hour outside Amsterdam and 15 minutes from Schiphol airport.
The conference will offer researchers and clinicians interested in placebo effects the opportunity to meet each other, learn about the latest research findings, and present their work. Confirmed keynote speakers are Ted Kaptchuk, Christian Büchel, John Kelley, Katja Wiech, and Fabrizio Benedetti. Both junior and senior researchers are given the chance to present their work either orally or as a poster.
